Exchange is currently in recovery mode popup

Outlook Popup Error:

“Exchange is currently in recovery mode. You can either connect to your
Exchange server using the network, work offline, or cancel this logon”


  1. Go into the ‘Email Accounts’ settings under the ‘Tools’ menu.
  2. Click on ‘View or Change existing e-mail accounts’ and then ‘Next’
  3. Click on ‘Change’
  4. Click on ‘More Settings’ and then to the ‘Advanced’ tab
  5. Clear the ‘Use Cached Exchange Mode’ checkbox and then click on ‘Apply’
  6. Click on the ‘Offline Folder File Settings’ and ‘Disable Offline use.
    * You will be prompted – just click on ‘Yes’
