Google Panda has been released for a while now. Last month it cames out with another update Google Panda 2.2. This new algorithm has filtered out a lot of non quality sites, mostly automatic blogging sites and keyword stuffed sites. We also noticed that it has filtered a lot of good sites too. Leaving them with no options but to wait and see if with the next Google Panda update it will bring back their SERP up again. Our site got hit too, because we have used a few wordpress plug-ins that help better create meta tags and keywords for our site. This old method of SEO seems to have a negative effect on blogging sites, sites that use WordPress.

Google advices websites owners to create high quality contents and keep posting.

Also, some useful tips

– Check Google Webmasters site and remove any duplicated pages

– For WordPress sites, remove plugins that create and stuffs keywords to your pages.

Tag Cloud is bad and are consider low quality by Google Panda.

Recent Search Terms are also bad too

You should also edit your Robots.txt file and disallow pages from these two.

e.g.

Disallow: /tags/
Disallow: /search/

Hopefully, by the next time when Google crawl again, this will increase your site’s SERP. We are also hoping the same.
